Interesting. I find it more annoying when a friend finishes my sentences for me. A) People who don't know me are trying to be helpful ... even though they're not always being helpful. B) my friends know me. They know that I stutter and that I'm intelligent and that they're not always good at guessing what I'm trying to say. I've told some of my friends this (e.g., it annoys me when they finish my sentences but not when strangers do because of reasons A and B)
