I don’t want to dismiss how you are feeling but I will share something that just popped into my brain reading this thread. Aren’t we lucky in a sense that we can decide to be mute or not? I just got off my shift working with my student who is nonverbal and autistic. If there was even just a couple of words he could say it would make his life so much easier. You can choose to not speak it’s totally fine, sometimes I do that. I’m usually quite talkative but I certainly have my days where I don’t say much at all, I’m tired and I just don’t want to deal with it. Don’t let fear hold you back when it comes to stuttering. If you want to say something then you should.
