Growing out of it will prob never happen, I'm sorry to say.. I'm 58, had a damn lifetime of this... I've mentioned on other posts, I'd be a completely diff person with a diff life if it wasn't for this curse.. one of my many 'pet peevs' is when I'm going to the shop, on the way in my head or speaking to myself quietly I'd be saying what I'm going to ask for over and over again, and just be calmed and relax, but yep, when get to be servèd I just can't say what I want without stuttering.. When just going to the shop is a pre planned mission you realise what a disability a stutter is, yet many say it's no disability!
