As a child, I cared a lot and was very self concious. The two incidents I can remember both ended in a serious talk with my teacher, the whole class and with a lot of sobbing from my side. The weird thing is that although I was and am really insecure about my stutter, I never avoided speaking in class or social interactions in general. I think the reason for that is that my peers mostly ignored my stutter and I never faced bullying over a longer period of time or from a lot of people. Today, I am a lot more comfortable with my stutter. I´m still insecure about it, but not so much that I would start crying when someone makes a rude comment.
