My daughter has a stutter she is 12. There are no other people who stutter in our family and she has an older brother who doesn’t. Her stutter is severe around us and just types out what she wants to stay to me. She is a lot more fluent and not as blocked around her friends. She had years of therapy as a kid, very hard work and she got mostly fluent just a little repetitions but she relapsed to blocks. It’s very hard as a mother it’s so frustrating when she just wants to say something. Especially when the therapist got her mostly fluent as a kid. She is a very resilient child because of it and just gets on with it. It sucks but there are alot worse conditions a person can have.
