Our fear of stuttering is often more debilitating than stuttering itself. My advice? Stutter. Look silly. Sound ridiculous. Making peace with my stutter was the best thing I did for my anxiety. My anxiety has definitely seen improvements, and thus, my stutter doesn't flare up in as many situations, nor as severely because of the lessened anxiety. Edit: Aiming for perfection while simultaneously living with a disadvantage just sets yourself up for failure and disappointment. Start with small, manageable goals and work your way up. Completing a presentation in and of itself can be a huge goal, and worthy of celebrating, not tearing down just because you stuttered and someone gave you a look.
