Thank you for asking here. Actually means a lot. Stutterers will normally look away when they get stuck, because it feels embarrassing to look someone in the eye and twitch. They won't notice whether or not you make eye contact tbh. Stutters focus *so* intently on their stutter while they're speaking they barely notice anything else, other than maybe being interrupted. Something important is to let them know that YOU know they have a stutter. They'll feel more comfortable because they know you are prepared for them to get stuck. If not, they might feel guilty making you wait. Other than that there's not much others can do unfortunately. Just general patience helps a lot!
