I had some other experiences in this. You know how everyone sometimes says "huh?" after something you said or something you ask? Sometimes I couldn't repeat myself because of my stutter and there was a short awkward silence. Then they actually answer to what I was saying or asking. So they actually understood you but this "huh" is just their let-me-think-about-an-answer reaction 😅
