I totally get where you're coming from; I've been there. But honestly, it gets a lot easier as you get older. I'm middle-aged now, and hand on heart, if I could change 5 things about myself, it wouldn't even occur to me to change my stutter. It's just kind of part of who I am now; it doesn't cause me any trauma anymore.
