I completely get you. I am really outgoing person, I enjoy talking to people, meeting new people, I even enjoy concept of public speaking but my stuttering is destroying that part of me. As much as I'd love to just walk around and talk to new people, it's hugely affected by my stutter. It's hard to be social when you're afraid that you won't be able to tell your name or answer questions. I still sometimes manage to get over it and just embrace those social interactions, but not always.
