Download a DAF (Delayed Audio Feedback) app for your phone for around $20 and try it out with bluetooth headphones to test it out. There's absolutely no reason to spend $5k on such a device. DAF devices work by shifting your attention away from the stutter mechanism. Stuttering is something you do by focusing on the learned behaviour, a consciously and subconscious act. This is why people who stutter can sing or yell without stuttering, as their attention is diverted from the mechanics of speech to a thought pattern. I have tried DAF devices in the past, and they do work by temporarily diverting your attention to hearing your own voice. However, once your brain adjusts and adapts to this distraction, the artificial distraction is ignored and the stutter can reoccur. It is far more effective to learn to focus your thoughts on your message instead.
