I am not that familiar with Speech Easy but I have heard bad things about it. Like everything else there is the good and the bad and the ugly. Stuttering appears to be a neurological defect where the brain does not properly process its own voice. The way DAF works is that the brain processes its voice a fraction of a second after you speak, thus allowing for diminished stuttering. The Student DAF is a wearable device that we can wear all day and will usually lead to better speech. Another excellent stuttering prosthesis is the Edinburgh Masker. With this device your voice is MASKED and hence the stutterer will usually speak much better. To me stuttering is analogous to bad vision or bad hearing. The person with bad vision/hearing will usually get a prosthetic (eyeglasses/hearing aid) and their vision/hearing will improve. Stuttering is the same. A person with bad speech (stuttering) will often improve with a verifiable prosthetic
