Do people make fun of you stuttering

Do people make fun of you stuttering I got made fun of a lot for stuttering in elementary school and it didn't help me a lot. After that, people became a lot nicer and basically stopped. In the past few years, I only remember once when someone commented on my stuttering, and it wasn't even that bad.
