Yes I stutter on my name considerably. I've gone through phases of not saying my name at all, shortening my name, or just mispronouncing my name so I can rush through the embarrassment. From my persona experience, shortening my name gave me a small period of not stuttering so much but it was short lived. I really don't have any solid techniques for dealing with saying my my name other than learn to accept the fact I'm going to stutter/block on my name regardless of if I like it.
