If she's seeing a school speech therapist, try taking her to an outside speech therapist. School speech therapy was not beneficial for me at ALL, and it was so embarrassing getting called out of class to go. Looking back on it, my stutter was too advanced for them, and they didn't teach techniques properly in a way I could understand. Once I grew up and started seeing a university speech pathologist, I just thought, how much easier would it have been for me if I had this quality of speech therapy much earlier in my life? But it's also important to know that speech therapy is not a cure, and cultivating her confidence would be the most beneficial tool for her as she goes into her teens years. The life of a stuttering teen girl wasn't too long ago for me.
