I'm similar, and this also happens with my head tics. But the thing is, they only really happen when I'm around strangers. Around family and friends, you'd barely notice that I have a stutter and tics. Around strangers, it's like a smorgasbord. I'm not particularly nervous around strangers unless they give me a reason, so I'm not sure why it happens like that.
