It's weird. Even though I had a horrible stutter during childhood, I was never really made fun of it for it. They picked other somewhat random things like calling me "gay" (I'm not). As an adult I wonder if kids are just stupid and weird, or if they were prevented from making fun of my stutter by an authority figure, but other stuff was free game?
