It's good practice because business is all about communication. And communication is about getting your point across, not about the quality of your speaking voice or delivery. If you get your point across through effective word use, graphics, analogies and clarity message, you can stutter like mad and still be very effective. I spent many years in business at quite high levels. My stutter gave me the ability to deliver complex messages in clear, concise language that recipients welcomed. Instead of the usual hand waving waffle many fluent people have, where they just talk a million miles per hour and hope they say what people want to hear, because of my stutter, I pared everything back to simple clear messages that reduced complexities to something easily understood...which meant I used fewer words to say more. This is an excellent skill to master in the business world. This also provides you an opportunity to get good with the graphical communication aids like powerpoint, short-form video, and those kinds of things, too. Stick with it. University is all about trying out new things. Go for it.
