i'm 100% with you, i want to hear about the guys who still stutter not the people that "grew" out of it! i think a lot of it is outside of our control -- it's great if someone doesn't stutter anymore but i don't think that implies anything about someone who grew out of stuttering vs. someone who still stutters severely for the rest of their lives. one person that died recently that i was really struck by was mel tellis. he was a country singer, did a lot of entertainment shows. i saw a clip of his and you can tell he definitely stutters and he's doing one of the things that, as a stutterer, would scare the crap out of me. really admirable, in my opinion.
