>Does anybody else feel this way? Of course they do. This is a very normal response. That being said, it's not a healthy mindset. You need to start working on correcting how you manage these thoughts. You can't spend all day thinking about something. Doesn't matter what it is. After you read this, give yourself a break from thinking about stuttering. maybe learn the lyrics to a song. Spend some time with something positive. e.g. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen Schedule time every day where you won't think about your stutter. As time goes on, learn to stop yourself when you're dwelling on your stutter. This is, by no mean, an easy adjustment to make. It will take effort and practice. But you have to learn to shut down the negative thought processes. The goal being to get a place where you minimize the time you spend thinking about your stutter. It's still due some time in your head, but you want to limit that (wasted) time.
