Pseudostuttering as someone without a stutter

Pseudostuttering as someone without a stutter Hi everyone. I am taking a communication disorder/speech pathology class in my college, and the teacher, a speech pathologist who specializes in stuttering, gave us an optional assignment to go out in public and interact with strangers as if we stutter. She said this is an activity grad students who go into speech pathology must complete in order to better understand how it feels. At first, I was opposed, since it almost felt akin to blackface, but when it was explained as a learning tool and I saw recommendations from other people who do stutter, I am considering trying this out. What advice would you have in order for me to respectfully do this activity, if at all?
