One of my childhood *friends* and classmate was a stutterer aswell (though less severe than mine). We never talked about it, as we were kids at the time. As we got older, he ended up bullying me (not because of my stutter though), and we never spoke again after we left school. You'd think someone who grew up with a disability wouldn't be inclined to become a bully. A few years ago, I briefly went to school with a guy who had a mild stutter. One day he told me that he noticed I stuttered, and then we talked a bit about therapy and treatment for it. He mentioned that he was interested in those electronic feedback devices you can wear that play back your voice (I don't remember the name in my own language nor in English). I told him about my experience trying them in speech therapy, and how they didn't work for me. Regardless, it was fun to speak with a fellow stutterer about it for the first time. It felt nice to talk with someone who actually understood what it was like.
