I feel exactly the same.  I don't think it helped him that his campaign underplayed his disability.  I understand WHY they felt like this was the right call but clearly there weren't disability advocates in the room.  It would have been a great opportunity to explain why stutterers sound like this and that stuttering itself is not a mental impairment.  I've even had people tell me I'm an assumed liar because of the way I change my words and tone of voice in pursuit of fluency lol
