I've gotten better at it. I called in once and probably sounded fine to the host who picked up. I did it again a few days later and I just woke up and was hungover as fuck so I probably just sounded groggy. I know I can't keep it up. If I'm not going in that day I just call back and suck it up, there's been a few times when I was planning on coming in for whatever anyways and just told them I missed their call but was just planning on coming in anyways. It's just confidence building. I've gotten closer with my coworkers and my managers have noticed I've really improved so I definitely feel better about the workplace, and I've been more social lately, so that might help.
