My experience is as long as you do your job. People don't care. I am a signal electrician on a city rail network and most of my job is fault rectification. My job has a lot of talking on the phone and communicating with different people. Yeah alot of the people in the control centre probably know me as the guy with a stutter but they also know the guy with the stutter gets shit fixed so they are never unhappy to hear from me.
