I don't think I've gotten over it but I'd rate my fluency problems pretty low. A friend of mine at work was making fun of an older co-worker that stutters pretty badly. She's a really nasty person so he just sort of added that to the pile while complaining about her. He didn't even realize I have a stutter when I put the brakes on that but if commentary. If I have only one moment of stuttering a day - to the point where no one else even notices it anymore - should I define my problem differently? To answer your question: I briefly went to a speech therapist in high school which helped a little bit. But mostly I think it was just time. One of those luckier ones that starts to lose it as they age. Probably that and some subconscious coping mechanism. No real breakthrough moment, just a slow reduction in my issue with it over the past twenty years.
