I’m sorry :( working in customer service is one of the hardest jobs to do. Being berated by hungry people all day can really get you down- even if you don’t have a stutter. You are SUCH a strong person for doing that job with a less than perfect fluency. I used to work in a fast food place and I worked the drive through exactly one time because I couldn’t get words out and my coworkers laughed at me. After that, I lost so much confidence and moved back to cleaning the lobby and taking orders. It’s so frustrating not being able to do the most seemingly simple of tasks. Just try to remember that you are not alone in this. Our struggle is hard to hide but don’t forget that everyone has a struggle in life, you usually just can’t see it. Everyone has something they are self conscious about or burdened with, especially those who laugh at others who may be struggling. Don’t be too hard on yourself, friend.
