I've been teaching for 8 years. I guess it depends on the age of your future students. I've taught 11 year olds and they can be really cruel (mimicking you, laughing at you). I'm teaching high school students now and it's better, even though I sometimes feel like I have to work twice as hard as my other colleagues. All in all, it's not easy. If I could go back in time, I don't think I would have made the same career choices.
