JUST SAY YES. 1.This semester, I had an oral presentation- scored 98% - highest grade ever- with two really chauvinistic or racist or just bullies or just idiotic groupmates to boot. 2. Said yes to a speaking event at a school in front of 100+ students and 1 screaming toddler. Killed it. 3. Did so well at the event that I was randomly selected for an impromptu speaking role at a scholarship luncheon. I killed that as well. (I thought I stuttered slightly but apparently no one cared and I didn't devolve into a mess.) 4. Accepted an interview to be in a film, did the interview thinking nothing would come of it- I did particularly well in this interview even though I jumped around from topic to topic because fuck getting stuck. Also controlling the pace of the conversation for me is critical. 5. Got selected last night to be in the film. At no point did I think I could do this or even do it well, I just trusted that the people who were asking me saw something in me that I didn't see, I said yes and now I'm basically famous! 6. Was on a call with a stranger last night for 30 mins plus, infront of a mirror and DID NOT STUTTER OR GET STUCK ONE TIME! My Dudes and dudettes, JUST SAY YES!
