I'm sorry this happened to you. I know it sucks, I have been there. I was looking for a job for almost a year after I graduated as a software engineer. I had a few interviews like the one you described and I remember how soul-destroying they were. I was depressed and I thought I would never find a job. Whenever I saw "outstanding communication skills required" in a job description, it was like a punch in the gut. Because it didn't matter how good of a programmer I was and how much I practiced even during the time I tried to find a job, I could never have outstanding communication skills. Never. But then I was very lucky to find the people who believed in me. Who didn't care about the way I spoke, they just wanted to hire a good programmer. It was an entry-level position with a below-average salary but I thought I hit the jackpot! I treasured that opportunity and I gave my best to prove them they hired the right man for the job. I know you feel awful now and I'm sure you think you'll never get hired. But believe me, you will!! You will find a job and the employer who will hire you will be the luckiest person ever because I'm sure you'll also treasure that opportunity and you'll also give your best to prove them you are as good as them or even better!
