Just to point out - we shouldn't be saying "got stutter from a parent", because we don't know exactly how stuttering works yet, and as a result we can't make such theory statements, before it's been investigated more. Consequently, there's no reason to hang on to an idea that a parent "gave" something like that to their kid. For contrast, think of cases where the parent is not stuttering, but the kid is, and also cases where the parent is stuttering, but the kid isn't. There's no automation there. :)
