Bruce Willis has said that he could hardly talk before and that acting (and speech therapy) helped him overcome his stutter when he was still in school. Kinda like how Joe Biden describes it (except he credits it to reading poetry). I wouldn't call that a cure though. Different people find that different things may work for them to lessen stuttering. A cure implies that it works for everyone.
