I am Finally Free, I found a solution to my stuttering! Hey everyone, I just wanted to share an incredible discovery I’ve made that has changed my life and hopefully, this could help others too! I’ve been experimenting with a vibrating metronome on my Garmin watch to help with my stuttering, and the results have been nothing short of amazing. I was able to hold conversations, say what I actually wanted to say, talk to people, etc... When the metronome is on, I’m able to say what I want to say without hesitation. The rhythm from the vibrations seems to give a rythm to my speech, allowing me to unblock speech block immediately making it easy to speak. It’s such a small tool, but it’s had a huge impact on my speech and how I approach conversations. I honestly feel like I’ve found something that works for me, and it’s been life-changing! I am not saying I am cured. Of course, the blocks are still there, but they get unblocked immediately when the metronome is on. The metronome I use on my Garmin Fenix 6x pro watch works perfectly, there’s just one small catch: sometimes, when I lay my arm on a desk or in certain positions, the vibrations can produce a slight buzzing sound that’s audible in quiet spaces. It’s not a huge problem, but I’ve been doing some research to find an even better solution for more discreet use. While I was looking online I came across the Apple Watch and its Taptic Engine, which is supposed to deliver more of a subtle tapping sensation instead of the typical buzzing. From what I’ve read, it’s silent and might be perfect for all situations; the only concern is that I am not sure if the metronome stays on when the watch screen turns off and if the battery can stay for a whole day, currently, my Garmin watch allows me to use it for the entire day after a full charge, around 12 hours if I used the vibration continuously. For anyone here who uses an Apple Watch, I’d love to know if you are able to experiment on you end and see: How long does the battery last with continuous vibration, like when using a metronome app? Does the Metronome work even if the watch screen is off, and is there a way to assign a hotkey to quickly turn the metronome on and off Can it handle several hours of consistent vibration each day? Is the Taptic Engine as silent and discreet as they say? I will be glad if this helps anyone here, as I said this is not a cure but it improves speech so much I’m feeling so hopeful with this newfound tool, and I’m optimistic that the Apple Watch could take it to the next level. If you’ve had any experience with it, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
