Well as a guy above me already said it. Dont avoid socialisation and interactions. Sooner or later you will be forced to go to the post office or the drug store or some place with dead silence and long lines so everyone can hear you and you will have a meltdown. The further you are from your next interaction the stronger the anxiety becomes and with it the stutter. The trick to stopping is fairly simple yet extremely hard. We can speak we are not stupid(mostly) but the fear of stuttering causes stutters and if we get rid of it we can cure ourselves. You have friends. Ive noticed many people here have terrible loneliness issues. Use them to practice overcoming the blocks and just keep going. Try speaking impulsively(this works wonders) Just start when you have a thought at the top of your head and let your brain piece the words together as you speak. Avoid first letters, link words just avoid stuttering at any cost(except not interacting). This creates fluency memories and in time you will be convinced that you can speak and that is the ultimate goal. Maybe you already think it but you dobt believe it(no PWS does). Id suggest Lee Lovetts book.
