The anxiety leading up to the gathering then trying to avoid intimate conversations while attempting to seem like you are enjoying yourself. It sucks man. Just know that nobody will understand and never will. If anybody is an asshole about it even after they see how much you are struggling, that person isn’t worth your time. Especially a family member.
