Yes. I learned early on I don't stutter when I do accents, when I read aloud, or do impersonations. So, I started practicing doing accents/impersonations more and more subtle to the point you couldn't notice. Again this was just a practice thing, but it helped. It distracted me from thinking about stuttering. The hard part, is real life. When you feel yourself start to tense up, pause, relax every muscle, and talk.
