Wow, what a bunch of jerks. That's good that you stood up for yourself and filed a formal complaint. Here's my most recent insensitive experience towards stuttering: I was interviewing for a professorship at Brown University. I went to a speech therapy course not so long before then and my techniques fell apart completely during the interview and I was stuttering so much during the dinner, I pretty much knew it was game over at that point. I was OK with that, I was there to just see how the experience felt in a way. One of the young professors at the dinner sniggered/laughed after one of my stutters, and I got so angry, I was about to essentially torpedo the interview to just chew him out for how immature he was. I was so exhausted and out of my mind at the time, and I decided to take the high road and just ignore it. But I still get pretty angry about that person and the experience as a whole when I think of it. Really unprofessional in my opinion.
