That's interesting. I have noticed a paradoxical effect where alcohol increases my stuttering by a lot. I have the block-type stuttering where I can't get a word out and there is absolutely no help from any type of alcohol, from a beer to getting drunk. For people who are in my situation maybe alcohol is good for only caring less that you stutter around people. But to me at this point I don't really care about my blocks and have noticed that people are generally supportive if you tell them you stutter and confidently talk to them no matter how long it takes you to say something. You should really consider the fact that you will smell of alcohol. It's something that can very easily be detected by any near you. Best of luck.
