I disagree. Stuttering is a disability, yes, but also a verb. People stutter sometimes, just not at the same level as us. "Did I stutter" doesn't mock the stutterer's intelligence, it just means "was I unclear", "did you not understand me", basically a slang-snappy way to make sure your point is clear. And yes, you can just say "was I unclear", but is it really that important? You're not mocking a disability, you're stating a verb. It's like saying "Stop using 'no biggie' instead of 'no problem' " (I didn't have a better example), yes you can say no problem and there's no reason not to use it but there's also not really a reason to not use "no biggie".
