Yes, there´s a huge difference. My native language is german, I took english lessons in school for 12 years in total (started when I was 6). When speaking german, my stutter is mostly manageable in my day to day life and most people don´t even notice. But speaking english another story. When speaking english my stutter is really severe and I will have multiple blocks per sentence.
