Definitely!!! It's weird but what helped me w continually exposing myself to those type of situations. The type of reaction you had is a result of embarrassment and happens to every stutter to varying degrees. There are obviously techniques and practices to mitigate it's severity but it's a part of you and the more you get comfortable with talking without the hesitation that you may stutter, the sweaty palms, anxiety, and etc. will occur less frequently.
