Yep, I get it. I wouldn't ever say anything like "I'm a stutterer". No need to label yourself. My experience has been that as long as you clarify that your stutter is something that's normal to you (without making it a big deal), people tend to be noticeably less alarmed / less freaked out by the stutter. Otherwise, they'll be wondering what's wrong with you if you don't acknowledge it.
