a memory i look back on and physically cringe is my still best friend and i were at starbucks years ago when we were still new friends and i was telling the barista my name and, for context, i'm both trans and have speech issues and my friend knows this. so i tell my name that i dumbly chose cause it has too many consonants and i always stumble on it, but i got it right and i looked to my friend like "woo!" only to realize the barista probably thought i was a weirdo like "hey! look! i know my own name!" and i was too full of adrenaline and shy to say anything so i just didn't lol
