Advice for speech pathology for mild stutter? So, I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I need to speak in front of town councils, committees, and the public as part of my job as a municipal planner, but I stutter a lot in these contexts. I have considered speech pathology, but I tend not to stutter if I'm in an environment where I'm comfortable with the people around me - including ones where I'm working with a speech pathologist! I'm considering joining a Toastmasters group so I'm sufficiently uncomfortable and will stutter just so I can work on it. Does anyone have this kind of issue?
