I feel you. You expected the stuttering community to be more understanding and to have empathy. Unfortunately, people in general don't know how to react and validate your emotions, but they give you advice instead. This advice, in spite of good intentions, can be dismissive of your emotions. That's why I talk about these things only to a professional. Even though I'm fine now, I've been where you are. When I was at my lowest, I turned to the stuttering community for support and it was the most dismissive. When people who stutter banalize stuttering, just because they are handling it better than before, it hurts even more than when other people do it. It's very alienating and your emotions are valid.
