Job interviews... any tips? I'm sure that I'm not the only one here who feels like they get looked over when it comes to promotions, or even gaining employment, regardless of your skills and knowledge. It's pretty fucking discouraging seeing the interviewer mentally reject you before your interview is over. I've been out of work for a few months now and I recently had a interview at a call center who was hiring a TON of people.. I walked into a giant conference room with about 15-20 people as they were called one-by-one to their interviews... as 15 was pulled away, another 15 was led in.. so i knew they were hiring by the masses. My friend (who works at the company) asked if they sent me off to my drug screen after the interview and it was at that point I knew that I didn't get the job. The interviewer said I'd "hear back in a couple of weeks", but I got the rejection e-mail the next day. But enough of my sob story... what do you do to mitigate the issue? Edit: I realize I applied at a call center but it was a minimal client-contact job. That's the only reason I felt comfortable enough to apply.
