I can understand your pain and I am sorry that other people can be so hurtful. I have stuttered and suffered from blocks for my entire life. I have tried to learn to give people some benefit of the doubt. Most people have never encountered someone who stutters. They may look away, look down, pull out their phones, or maybe even laugh when you try to speak. More often than not, people act this way out of nervousness because they simply don’t know how to react when someone is stuttering or is having blocks. They aren’t acting this way because they’re mean or think you’re dumb, they just simply don’t know how respond. I know it doesn’t make it easier, but it is just some food for thought. Wishing you the best with this journey.
