My personal experience I stated I lived with a stutter on my CV and got a job in a high street pub, so yes less formal than going to a table and taking orders (more being shouted at over a bar) but you can say your opening line when you get to them how ever you want as long as it gets the message across. You can play with the words, how you breathe when you speak, tap out each syllable or just jump in with an over the top welcome in someone else's voice if that's how you deal with it. Just don't let having a stutter define what you can do, if you want to do it do it! Good luck
