For those who happen to be reading, say this aloud: "My name is John," (or whatever your name is), but stretch it out to about 10 seconds. Transcribed, it should look something like this: mmmmmMyyyyyyyyyy nnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaame iiiiiiiiIsssssssss jjjjjjjJoooooooooohn. I first did this in speech therapy, and it blew my mind. I realized that while, yes, I was talking very, very slowly, *I wasn't stuttering.* I was talking slow, but I was. Not. Stuttering. Of course, you'll probably want to pick up the pace so that you don't sound like the vocal equivalent of that DMV sloth from Zootopia, but it gives you a baseline, a pace at which you won't stutter that you can work with and build on. Easy onset, light contact, and forcing yourself into speaking situations helps too. Look all this stuff up.
