Sure, heredity probably factors in. It's not known exactly how stutter works, though, so it's likely not the sole explanation. Also probably doesn't mean you can expect your kids to stutter - statistical research of that sort hasn't been done (to my knowledge). It'd be interesting to look at some, though.
